Shipping & Returns
The Haberdashery, under normal circumstances, will ship your order within one business day. This excludes public holidays and Sale time, orders taken during those times will ship within 2 - 3 days.
We offer a tracked courier service for a flat rate of $10.00 anywhere within New Zealand, $25.00 within Australia and $50.00 the rest of the world. New Zealand customers in the North Island will receive their parcel overnight. South Island customers will receive their parcel within 48 hours, weather dependent for the ferry crossing. Rural deliveries could take a day or two longer in each case. International customers will receive their parcel within 5 business days. This service cannot be shipped to a PO Box, street addresses only.
We also offer an untracked postal service for a flat rate of $7.00 within New Zealand, $15.00 to Australia and $30.00 the rest of the world. This service can be shipped to any address.
Currently we offer FREE shipping within New Zealand & Australia on all orders $100.00 and over using the untracked postal service.
Phone numbers are required at check out, this is only out of necessity for the courier and postal services, they will not be used for any other purpose nor passed on to a third party.
The Haberdashery is happy to provide samples of any fabrics. Please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org and quote the name of the fabric you are considering and it will be sent to you free of charge via NZ Post using standard post, this is not a tracked service.
If the product you have purchased is not suitable, we will be pleased to offer you an exchange, credit note or refund as long as it meets the following criteria;
We cannot accept returns on cut fabric as these are bespoke orders. We don’t accept returns on sale items, sewing patterns, books and stationery. This does not affect your statutory rights. All other items can be returned at your shipping cost within 7 days of receipt of your order. It must however be in resalable condition – unopened and unused.
DAMAGED OR FAULTY ITEMS
We cannot accept returns on cut or washed fabric, please check over your fabric carefully prior to doing so. If you do find a fault with your fabric or you have received damaged or faulty goods, please notify us by phone +64 27 589 7047 or email us here within 7 days of receipt of your order.
Where possible we will try to replace your goods, however if this is not possible we will issue a full refund including shipping costs. You will be refunded by the original method of payment. We do not offer credit notes on damaged or faulty goods. We will reimburse the postage costs you incur returning the item to us. Please retain the postage receipt and try to include the original sale invoice/ receipt with your return.
